Paulo Goncalves

Paulo Gonçalves is a member of our Mining and Energy & Natural Resources practices. 

With more than 18 years of consulting and business expereince, Paulo advises leading mining companies across South America and the Middle East on operational excellence, performance improvement, capital projects, transformations, and advanced analytics. His experience spans multiple commodities, partnering with executive teams to improve operations, accelerate capital project delivery, and unlock sustainable value creation.

Throughout his tenure at Bain, Paulo has led engagements in lean full potential, capital project execution and recovery, operating model redesign, labor productivity, corporate strategy, agile transformations, and AI-enabled operational improvement. He has also helped develop our capabilities in capital projects and advanced analytics. 

Prior to joining Bain in 2016, Paulo worked in management consulting, entrepreneurship, and corporate leadership development. He holds an MBA from IESE Business School, including an exchange program at Chicago Booth, and a degree in production engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar.

He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
