Laurens-Jan Olsthoorn is a member of our Technology, Media, Advanced Manufacturing & Services, and Customer practices.
With over 20 years at Bain and in industry, Laurens-Jan has advised leading companies across semiconductors, industrial equipment, logistics, online travel, staffing and HR services, and business services. He leads our Technology team across EMEA and our Advanced Manufacturing & Services team in the Benelux. His work spans corporate and business unit strategy, commercial transformation, operational improvement, M&A due diligence, and value creation planning. He has worked extensively with private equity investors on both add-on diligence and portfolio company value creation.
Laurens-Jan holds an MBA from INSEAD (cum laude) and a master's degree in economics and law from Erasmus University. He is fluent in Dutch and English.
In his personal time, Laurens-Jan is a passionate traveler who has visited more than 80 countries, with a deep interest in architecture and photography. He enjoys living in Amsterdam's historic city center with his wife and three children.
