Darren Johnson

Darren Johnson is an expert in the firm’s Enterprise Technology practice.

Since joining Bain in 2012, Darren has become one of Bain’s leading practitioners on technology operating model. He has supported clients across industries including financial services, retail, consumer goods, healthcare, and airlines on all aspects of technology operating model transformation.

His areas of expertise include product model, product management, Agile, technology org structure, technology funding model, OKRs, and modernizing technology delivery through adoption of AI.

Prior to joining Bain, Darren worked for a boutique management consulting firm. While there, his major client engagements included operations and strategy work for transportation and logistics providers, procurement and strategy for consumer goods manufacturers and healthcare payers, as well as private equity due diligence assignments.

Darren earned his MBA from Harvard Business School, from which he graduated with high distinction as a Baker Scholar. He also holds a BA in economics from Swarthmore College, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
